"CELEBRITY MISTRESSES" WHO REALLY WERE NOT and the MEN WHO DIDN'T KEEP THEM : MISSY SPEAKS

In searching for people to feature on this blog, I sometimes do internet searches to see what's up. I've found so many articles that use the term CELEBRITY MISTRESSES. While many of these articles are correct about the fact that there has been adultery, they are rarely correct about the terms and conditions of the relationship. Affairs, even extremely brief events, are turned into relationships. Relationships, some of which end in someone's divorce and remarriage are not the same as the relationship between a person who has negotiated being in a long relationship with another person and is closer to being a second spouse. One article I found was right on about various celebrity men and their "baby mamas" but there is no evidence that any of these women who (sorry to say) stupidly had babies with men who use their celebrity to whore around were their Mistresses. (I'd love to know about the child support issues.)

However, we are in the process here of DEFINING Mistress. If you page through my archives you'll get a feeling for the people who I've featured thus far and why. Sometimes I elect someone an Honorary Mistress. I don't think Monica Lewinsky ever was but I've featured her and also said, in so many words, Get Off Her Back! I suspect Anna Bey once was and decided she wanted a different life. Isadora Duncan was, with Paris Singer who was her arts patron as well who helped her survive in Paris and move towards her dream of a dancing school. Although a woman can be financially independent and a Mistress, the rich man who can afford to "Keep" or "Help" a woman is more likely to have a Mistress. Do I believe Sarah Symonds, who was a Mistress to a famous married chef?  Yes. I do. Bill Gates? I doubt it. Women throwing themselves at his feet?  Probably.

In several articles, Marilyn Monroe is identified as a Mistress because she supposedly had affairs with President Kennedy  and his brother Robert. This tale has been repeated and taken on more and more "fact" as time goes on, yet the overly married Marilyn who also was, reportedly, quite the sexual adventurer for her time, and may even been expected to sleep with various Hollywood power players to have a career, had to know that having sex and having a relationship could be two different things. I pity her and the women who, like her, felt or knew they had to have sex with men in order to have a career. However, Marilyn was a Mistress early in her life with an agent named Johnny Hyde. 

Tiger Woods is a man who is linked with many women who are called Mistresses because of their affairs with him while he was married. I have no reason to think any of them were. I tend to discount any reportage that calls women who have had affairs with celebrities Mistresses. So NO Rachel Uchitel was not a Mistress.

And hell no Amy Fisher was not a Mistress to Joey Buttafuoco.

There are a lot of celebrities, and that includes politicians, who didn't seem to mind that someone is married or that they are married, when they meet someone else who is willing, they have affairs. Affairs sometimes turn into a remarriage or the Mistress relationship, but my thinking on this is that these people are too high profile to have private lives and that some of them use their drama to fuel their fame. 

I don't think in this day and age it's possible to have a Classic Mistress if you're a celebrity but if you have a whole lot of money you can make it happen, if the Mistress is capable of being discreet, which probably means she is not aiming for fame herself. Even if a person compartmentalizes their life, a reporter is on the story.

CAROLE MALLORY ON MISTRESSES IN THE PRESS TODAY

EXCERPT: “I don't like the way mistresses are being maligned in the press today,” said Carole Mallory, her voice indignant as she looked up from her salad at Gallagher’s Steak House on West 52nd Street, where she and Norman Mailer frequently dined during their eight-year affair that began in 1983. At the time, Mr. Mailer was married to his sixth wife, Norris Church Mailer; Ms. Mallory’s affair with the writer is the subject of her new book, “Loving Mailer.”

Ms. Mallory was talking about Tiger Woods’s mistresses, and how they have been portrayed as oversexed sirens who lured the married sports idol onto the rocks of deceit. “You have to understand with these famous men, they go after women, yet the press likes to make it appear that the women went after him,” said Ms. Mallory, 68, who might be considered an authority on the subject.

A note by Missy: I personally don't think of mistresses as affairs and so I don't know that any of the women that the press incorrectly called mistresses that he was involved with actually were.  Therefore my own use of the word would probably not agree with Carole Mallory's use!  Also in her book she speaks of a 9 year relationship and the author of this article writes an 8 year affair.

VANITY FAIR APRIL 2010 DOES A BIG DEAL ON TIGER WOODS and THE WOMEN and the GAMBLING and...

TIGER WOODS : I've read the upcoming Vanity Fair article about Tiger Woods! I have an advanced subscription to May 2010... and the link to that article is above (click on the title of this blogpost!)

Let me paraphrase for you. Jamie Jungers is saying (page 208-209 of the paper magazine) that when she called the billionaire who was also a big shot gambler - winning and loosing huge amounts of money and thus coddled in Vegas, and who she had been sleeping with for 18 months, to help her - financially - because she needed to move out of the apartment she'd been sharing with an ex boyfriend, Tiger said "I can't." In all the time they saw each other he gave her no cards, no nothing. SHE WAS NOT A MISTRESS. She was not loved. She was not helped.

Yet, according to a woman who worked as a professional escort - and a "Madam" who is presently out of business has said that Loredana Jolie Ferriolo was her top escort at $15,000 a night - Tiger was a big spender. Loredana says she went on a shopping spree and spent about $20,0oo in addition to her fees. She was not loved or kept either, but she didn't expect to be really.

Another woman, the girl next door who works in a diner, testifies to how she met up for sex with him for a long time, "fell in love," but he was also cheap with her. He didn't love her or keep her either.

OK - Get this! Tiger Woods NEVER HAD A MISTRESS! He managed to use some women, women who knew he was married, kept having sex with him when he wanted it, sneaking around with him to have sex, but who WERE NOT BEING DATED, or COURTED, or KEPT. These women need to understand their true natures. They are easy. They made no demands. They didn't want to risk being rejected or ignored by Tiger if they did not have sex with him. They named no price (maybe because they were "good" girls) and they were not gifted a single thing in appreciation for their love-making, or the time they took out of their love-lives to focus on him...

The professional escort got paid because she had a Madam whose clientele was in Vegas, and Tiger could show off to his friends that he could and did pay this top price. She may not be the girl next door imagining love all tied up in sex on demand, but at least she has some material advantages - an independence - due to her activities. (Save and invest your money for the days when your looks fail you honey!)

THE KEY HERE IS WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A BILLIONAIRE WHO CLEARLY HAS A LOT OF MONEY TO THROW AROUND. When someone who works, but makes an average income, and who has lived their life around a man who has that kind of money, gets NOTHING to make their lives a little better, it's pathetic on the man's part because he is such a user, and pathetic on the woman's part because she let herself be so used. It is only right - and kind - that he offer.

OTHERWISE, truly, a woman is better off with one of her own peers, and someone who has the potential to be with her as a husband, or as his mistress!

TIGER WOODS MISTRESS COUNT 9 ? 14? A HOWARD STERN BEAUTY CONTEST ?

I'm linking to a New York Daily News story (click on the title above) that has some good pictures of the beautiful - and not so beautiful women - who are allegedly Tiger Woods' "mistresses." As time goes on I think the term MISTRESS has been misused in this case, to sensationalize another famous man who has used his wealth, fame, sexuality, and personality to have very many sex partners, while being the husband to another woman, and having a family. Perhaps Tiger Woods is a man who has the Virgin-Whore syndrome that is said to plague men who think of some women as the type to marry and other women as the type to bed.

It may just be that Tiger Woods is a sex addict. In which case, if that's as curable as other addictions, he may be able to stop all the chasing and get back to a comfortable marriage with his also very beautiful wife, a very young wife, who stands to demand a lot of money in any divorce.

Another reason I don't think of ANY of these women who have had affairs with Tiger as mistresses is because I have no evidence that he financially contributed support to any of them, and though that's not always the criteria, it is a consideration. There are many beautiful women who desire to have sex with many men without any sort of financial or other consideration, such as commitment.

Now that I hear the crass crude Howard Stern is having a beauty contest (and in another article I spotted on the net) four of the women Tiger slept with have already volunteered, I imagine he suffers from something else that many famous men do, and that is that he probably does not at all feel loved for himself.

If any of these fame seeking beauties was really a mistress, she would probably still be one!

TIGER WOODS' "MISTRESSES" ???

TIGER WOOD's MISTRESSES ? So far I have no evidence that the women who are stepping forward (I joke that I shall too!) claiming to have had affairs with the married Tiger, or who claim to be "girlfriends" are - not one of them - actual mistresses. Jaimee Grubbs, Rachel Uchitel, Kalika Moquin ? (Uchitel denies it...)So far the evidence is that Tiger whores around (we suppose secretly) despite having a gorgeous wife. This is not much new when it comes to rich and famous sports celebrities, and nor is the ever faithful wife who knows it or finds out about it and keeps the man. After all she is the MRS. and she doesn't want to raise the children with all those messy visitation problems, and she still wants the prestige of being a famous man's wife - and a share of the community property and his earnings !

HAS TIGER PROVIDED EVEN PARTIAL SUPPORT FOR ANY OF THESE WOMEN?
You know what I mean. A vacation is for the two of you. But a condo or house with your name on the lease? Significant!
