DECLARATION FOR MISTRESSES : Answering the Question WHAT DO YOU DO?

"I'm prepared to give a brief answer when asked What Do You Do?"

Often, soon after someone asks you what your name is, they ask "What do you DO? They usually mean for work, how you make your living in this world. We are all so involved in what it is we do, that being unemployed even for a short while can be an embarrassment and we are always living for our resumes, where that streak of unemployment can be used against us.

But I, and many other people in today's world, are not at all embarrassed or ashamed of taking time off from employment, and perhaps LOVING WHAT WE DO has benefits, particularly when it comes to our mental, psychological, and physical health, beyond money.

Doing what you love and making money at it is the ideal.

I suggest that you be prepared to answer the question of "What do you DO?" by giving an answer that covers both what you do for money and what you do for love if the two are not yet the same.  Your answer is a one sentence PR moment!

DECLARATION FOR MISTRESSES - Hope and Fear

"I realize my hopes but also my fears and I ask myself, how are these related?"

I noticed that when I talk hope I also talk fear.  This and that I'm worried about, I'll tell a friend, and then I'll say, "I hope that..."  So I think the two emotions are related to each other.

Some people think that we should banish any "negative" emotion or thought or talk, as if acknowledging such things will certainly lead to the manifestation.  I do not agree.  That notion, to me is pure superstition.

In life bad things sometimes happen to good people.  There is sometimes no sense to be made of things.  The scientist are still trying to turn love, for which there is often no explanation, into science.  I've been warned, "Be careful what you wish for," and felt that person cursing me for knowing what I like, what I want to do, who I love.  There have been things that I worried about that never happened and things I never considered could or would happen to someone like me that did.

The fact is most of us are NOT so powerful that our lives are about manifesting our wills, but we are influenced from the outside too.  By the world, by others.

I think it's balanced to be realistic and to take, if not all things, your own feelings and thoughts about yourself, your life, into consideration.  So fear helps us define what it is we want.  We should acknowledge it.

DECLARATION FOR MISTRESSES - Self Actualization

"I will not neglect my own interests, continue to define my goals, and try to live up to my potential, even if I'm committed to another person in a relationship."

Self Actualization.
This term is kind of dated.  It is a concept of a psychology researcher named Maslow, who also showed us that we all have a "pyramid of needs."  When all the needs are fulfilled, we are able to reach the peak, self actualization.

Reading about 20ish Ginger Alden and the way Elvis influenced and dictated her fashion, beauty choices, and lifestyle in the 1970's, I'm reminded that we've "come a long way, baby" and how important it is to know oneself, keep up with your own interests, have goals (even if they are small and short term achievements to start), and to try and live up to your potential.

DECLARATON FOR MISTRESSES - Self Worth

"I won't undervalue or devalue myself!  I am worthy!"

(This declaration doesn't give you the right to be a Brat or totally about ones self but since so many mistresses are very generous and giving people who may not think enough of themselves...)
