"I will always maintain my independence!"

A mistress should always maintain her independence. That includes keeping friendships with people who you know, not just those who you are friends with because you are part of a couple. Keep in touch with family - even if you cannot disclose your lifestyle to them. An it means having a way of making money enough to support yourself so that you will never be stranded in poverty.

A good mistress ALWAYS plans for her future, using her intelligence to get a career - even if it is part time and flexible - for herself. A good mistress doesn't get so "busy" that she forgets the important people in her life who were there before Him and hopefully will be there after...
