This particular poster advertising the sale of Negroes is actually fairly respectful compared to some I've seen. Notice that the people enslaved are called men, women, boys, girls, and called negroes (a term that some older black people still use for themselves today).On some slave sale posters, men are called bucks, women are called wenches, and children are called pickininnys, names that distances them from other races, names that emphasis breeding.
As you consider this, consider that "White Slavery," also called Sex Slavery or Sex Trafficking, currently involves more girls (and some boys) than ever there were Slaves imported from Africa.
