DECEMBER 7 1539 MARTIN LUTHER APPROVES OF BIGAMY
Martin Luther, the man who is credited with the religion Lutheranism, and Philipp Melachthon, decided that Philip of Hesse should marry a second wife rather than divorce his first one, thus approving of bigamy.
