BEING A MISTRESS IS AN ECONOMIC OPTION FOR SURVIVAL from May 14. 2009

That's RIGHT! Just like being a wife and mother used to be and is (for a dwindling number of women in the United States). What we learn from history is that MARRIAGE often had little to nothing to do with LOVE.

People were very pragmatic. And they were perhaps doomed from birth to keep to certain status and occupation. Historical mistresses sometimes rose up from the lower classes, due to beauty or talent or skill or love or fate...

Today, Mistress as a term is used indiscriminately. But part of the problem is that it's too easy to call a woman who is having an affair with a married (or living with someone) man a Mistress, when she is actually a hardworking career woman who doesn't count on him for her support, or even expect expensive gifts.

You must ask yourself just how important material things are to you. Are you truly greedy? Or do you know what having "enough" is? If you want riches, then you must not settle for less, at least not when (or if!) you are young, beautiful, talented, sexy - and educated. At some point in your life though you must decide if you want riches married, or if you can accept riches unmarried but otherwise occupied!
