DO YOU TELL MEN YOU MEET THAT YOU ARE OR ARE NOT "AVAILABLE?" : MISSY ASKS YOU!

Do you tell men you meet that you are available or that you are NOT AVAILABLE even though maybe the commitment you have to your man and he to you is - undefined?

  1. Missy, I did some self analysis and I have a lifelong habit of being overly committed to men. I think this may be because I just can't deal with dating more than one man at a time. I tried it and hated it. How do I break the habit of being loyal and faithful when he isn't to me? Alison

  2. Yes! Alison that is a habit to break ASAP. You must take good care of yourself. My suggestion is based on something I read in those RULES for Dating books and that is to keep a DATING DIARY OR JOURNAL. Some men just like to talk romance but when it comes down to it, it's all talk. We women take them too seriously. It's not necessary for you to date more than one man at a time. It's just necessary for you to be OK with yourself if you're not dating anyone and also to break off a relationship that is not good for you. Look back to all your past relationships. Write down how you met, who asked who out, who set the pace for the relationship, if and when there was any talk of commitment... you get the idea. See if there is a point where you are too far into it!

  3. Missy, I never tell a man I just met anything that personal. If I'm interested I say I'm available. If I'm not I say I'm not available. I never get into stories about my marital status. Bruce
