DID TONI MANNIX OR HER HUSBAND OR SOMEONE ELSE HAVE GEORGE REEVES MURDERED?

Toni Mannix and George Reeves were lovers for near a decade and had the blessing of her husband, but according to the book "Hollywood Kryptonite" for about the last 6 months of his life, during his engagement to Lenore, someone killed his dog and he received 20-30 harassing phone calls day and night - to annoy and disturb him.  Did Toni (or her husband) have him killed?
