FRIENDS OR ENEMIES?

In Japan, poor or deserted girls were sometimes given a second chance in life to be highly trained artisans called Geisha (Girl), and were artists as well as prostitutes whose goal in life was to become a wealthy man's mistress. A few eventually married their men.
