COPYRIGHT / INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Please contact me using COMMENTS (leave your name, e-mail address, and write me a letter, which I will not openly publish) if you wish to quote me when it comes to any original writing you read on this blog. I spend a great deal of time reading and researching and sometimes interviewing around a topic.

It is NOT OK to copy and past an entire post to your PINTEREST or other account, without my permission.  If you are fishing for images, research the image and pin only the image.  I've just in summer 2022 had to take down whole posts and repost them in order to remove them from PINTEREST.  I do not own a PINTEREST, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM, or any other such account.  If you are blogging and want to refer to a post, provide a link and mention MISTRESS MANIFESTO BLOGSPOT as the origin.

Note on PINTEREST : users are supposed to be using PUBLIC DOMAIN only images to pin, not entire copyrighted articles.

I do not send published posts to anyone via e-mail or any other way.  If someone sends you a post for whatever reason, it did not come from me.

The EXCERPTS from Books, Magazines, and News articles, paper and electronic, that you read here are credited to their original authors or linked and are used under the Fair Use principals of Copyright. (Example would be that I might read an entire book and from it excerpt several paragraphs or pages, usually to move my reader to the parts that would be most in line with our topic.) As always, articles and stories linked to or quoted remain the intellectual properties of their writers.

I always hope that my interests and work here will spark other people's. (Hopefully a number of deserving authors have become a bit more popular as a result!) I do have opinions or take sides at times as I write reviews and reports, and as expressed in my Manifesto - Declarations, and Advice/ Opinions.  One of the ways I take sides is in selection the book or books (sometimes from many that have been written on a topic) that I choose to feature, excerpt, quote, discuss, etc.

Images used here are with permission, by subscription, or under fair use for non-commercial websites and blogs. When searching for images that I may use, I attempt to look for those in the public domain. I admit this is getting tricky due to the increasing dominance of images posted at Pinterest coming up on Google Images. Librarians advise me that Pinterest is like an open scrapbook and that posters take the responsibility there for public domain use...

The use of YouTube and other videos embedded, are by nature also always the intellectual property of the poster who has an account with YouTube. I note that I see many that have used photos and art from uncredited sources. I review videos posted from time to time and replace any that have been taken down for any reason including claims to copyright.

Also, I loath to link to videos that have ads, and so that limits my selection.

Whew!  You Read All This!
